iproute2 when newest version in 16.10?

iproute2 in yakkety is 4.3.0 from Nov 2015, still..

When can we expect it to be bumped up to the latest (4.9.0 as of Dec 2016)?

(Really missing the macsec support..)

I suggest you report a bug. If the bug and security fixes are significant then the package will be updated sooner rather than later
