when installing ubunu 12.10 on another pc, it s not booting properly with disk or memo-stick?

The pc in question was running 12.4 lts, then i was offered 12.10 to try, but lost connection during update, how can i sort this? Been so close, begining started, but then stopped the operating system totally

If you lost the connection during the installation process (if I understood correctly) , then you must re-install. This is the only way.

Boot to root recovery mode and run:

sudo mount -o rw,remount /
 sudo fuser -vki /var/lib/dpkg/lock;sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get -f install
