Can’t find jpg files in folder

I'm trying to open a JPG in Inkscape to convert to Vector. In the past this worked fine with Windows 7, but I updated to Windows 10. Now, when I open the folder where the JPG is, only other formats show eg: Powerpoint, Word, PDF but no JPG. I even saved the image a a Bitmap, same results. I don't know if the update to Windows 10 is the problem - maybe? HELP.

This is Ubuntu support, not Windows. I suggest you post on a Windows forum

Is there any other reason why Inkscape won't show JPG files for opening besides a Windows problem? I'm only guessing about this being a Windows issue.

This is support for Inkscape on Ubuntu.
If you are using Inkscape on Windows, then you are wrong here. We cannot help you.
