Extrude extension and text path

Hello, I have a problem with the extrude, when I use it with two texts that are supposed to be objects of type path it doesn't work and it tells me that at least 2 selected paths are needed, if someone can help me I would really appreciate it

This is what I could find in documentation. It says that each object is considered a separate path. If you try it with two objects instead of two texts, does the extrude work. It may not work for texts. I will yield this question for someone that knows Inkscape better that I do.
