ubuntu 11.10 - i see two battery indicators, on one i can click and see options, the other is just shown in a tray

ubuntu 11.10 - i see two battery indicators, on one i can click and see options, the other is just shown in a tray,
how can i remove one battery status from the main panel ?

here is the screenshot:

see? there are two 'batteries'

This is probably a problem with the upgrade process, and even if that is fixed (unlikely) you will still have the problem because you already upgraded. I think you have more chance of getting a helpful answer if I convert this into a question.

fresh install, same problem

I have the same problem. I have a fresh install except that I retained /home.
