Can the indicator applet work with other accounts then gmail

Hello,

I was wondering if I can work with a hotmail and a email adress from my isp on the indicator applet.
I work with Opensuse where one of the developers is busy to make Antany working.

Could install mail-notification and add your accounts there.

I know the package Mail Notification but that one has a problem with Hotmail accounts.
I do have evolution and Thunderbird installed.
I would like to test the indicators of the Atanany project to look if that can work for me.

Thanks for the answer.
But what im looking for is that the indicator says :

Hotmail (2 mails)
Athome ( 3 mails)

But it's a Ubuntu software so I asked the question here.
To more precise : Can mail indicator handle more accounts then only gmail accounts
