plug and play monitor color calibration 11.10

Asked by Jonathan

Is there any way for a plug and play monitor to be calibrated in 11.10? I've tried to used the icc-profile installer that I used in 11.04 before but now it's not working.. :(

I'm using a viewsonic VA1730wb and used huey PRO for calibration (via windows7)

p.s. tried looking for the driver for my monitor for ubuntu but could not find it

Ok those things are not friendly, nor do they do 3D stuff under Linux. You may need an xorg.conf file to make it display well. There will be sample files around that you can try
