Are there plans to upgrade i810switch to support the i945 chipset?

Asked by Giuseppe Scollo

I just installed the i810switch package on my laptop (intrepid on asus eee1000H), but it's of little help:

PCI id of i810 is not recognized

This is because the intel chipset is i945, which is not (yet?) supported by the utility (but the i810 driver is OK for the i945). The utility doc. mentions an experimental support of the i915chipset, as of june 2005. Are there plans to extend the experiment to the newer i945 chipset family?

Thank you in advance.

According to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/i810switch/+bug/92528, i810switch is pretty much obsolete. You should use xrandr instead.

Can you help with this problem?
