Could this package be updated to 1.5 ?

Asked by Peder Stray

Version 1.5 was released over a year ago, would be nice if the deb was updated to match.

If you report a bug with the current version and the bug and security fixes are significant then it will be updated sooner rather than later. Ubuntu is not a rolling release distribution so packages can be left in favour of ones with issues.

You may find a PPA here on Launchpad.net but there are no guarantees about content or features. Remember to filter the PPA for your release name. Not all PPAs support all releases

You can start a bug report by running the below in a terminal.

Additionally you have to be aware that Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian (to avoid double packaging work), and Debian also has only version 1.4, see https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=i3blocks

There is already a bug in the Debian bug tracker requesting a version upgrade, see https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=951028

As soon as there is the new version in Debian, Ubuntu will follow suit.
When you create a bug report in Ubuntu to request the upgrade, you should add a link to the Debian bug.

Can you help with this problem?
