...and the error message says?

What have you done to install this printer?

Have you got the download from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/officejet/officejet_j4680_series.html ?

the error message says " PRINT ERROR... there was a problem processing document test page"
I've done nothing too install other than connect to my computer.
Yes i installed the latest version of hplip from that link.

I said i had installed the latest version of hplip, but that is not correct. when i try to install, i get an error message ; "could not open file"gedit has not been able to detect the character coding.
Please check that you are not trying to open a binary file.
Select a character coding from the menu and try again."

Have you looked at "J4680 WiFi printer and Ubuntu Linux?" on http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-networking-and-wireless/J4680-WiFi-printer-and-Ubuntu-Linux/m-p/39820 ?

The HP guy points to "Installing the Product Software in Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 for a Wireless Network Connection (Using an Access Point)" on http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01554510&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&rule=886&product=3692888

...OK it's Windows, but the basic information is there

I'd remove the printer and remove the driver then start from scratch

Can you help with this problem?
