can't load a printer driver

I have download the hplip 3.9.8 but when I code as the directions say $ sh hplip -3.9.6.run the message comes can not open file. What do I do next?

Hi,

I think it is better if you try this installation procedure instead:

Step 1: Open Terminal from "Applications->Accessories->
Terminal"

Step 2: Run the following command

sudo aptitude update; sudo aptitude install hplip-gui

Then run the following command to start the driver configuration tool:

hp-setup

Please try:

sudo hp-setup

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter

Hi,

Please make sure the printer is turned on and connected to the pc using a USB cable.

Then run the following command:

sudo hp-setup

Sudo will ask for your password. Enter the password you use to log into Ubuntu. Then press the <enter>

Please try to set up your printer using the hp-setup utility.

I have hplip 3.12.4 on ubuntu 12.04. I am not computer expert. My HP 1020 printer is not working despite of your suggestions. Please help me. I am giving output
