does ubuntu have a driver for the hp L7680 printer? I have ubuntu installed, but cannot use it.

Try looking for hplib in Synaptic Package Manager
System menu on the top taskbar - Administration - Synaptic is near the end
use the Quick Search tool or the search button

Also there's a couple of sites for hunting for drivers
