Hp D2560 printer wont install

Please unplug your printer from usb...

Open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type:

lsusb

then plug your printer into usb open a and type

lsusb

copy and paste results of two "lsusb" commands here.

Hi Marcobra , thanks for your help , I will try and work out how to copy and paste and save from terminal.
 What I can say when I do as you say nothing changes the usb does not reconize printer

First verify you printer is switched on...

Then please check:

1) try to change usb port and repeat the lsusb command
2) the device cable
3) the pc bios settings for the usb
4) please remove any usb hub if there are any and plug the printer usb cable directly
