Hi

Your printer is well supported in Linux. See

http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=HP-D2560

so if you went through adding it as a new printer and chose the hpijs driver for it, Kubuntu has recognised it. Go to Applications > Accessories > Manage Print Jobs. Have you got print jobs queued ?

Is this a new printer? Have you ever printed on it? E.G. with Windows.

How is it connected? What does it say about it in System > Administration > Printing? Try printing a test page.

Debugging printer problems can be difficult.

Please also try hplip

How to install hplip package

First please check if you hp printer is supported by hplip http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/supported_devices/index.html

Then please open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hplip

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Then to setup hplip type:

sudo hp-setup

Hope this helps
