LaserJet P1005: hp-setup is unable to load driver-plugin

Asked by Stefan Baufeld

Hello,

I try to use a hp LaserJet P1005 under Linux Mint 13 Maya. After installing the os the system recognized the printer correctly. Them I started hp-setup to download and install the proprietary driver-plugin. The setup-progam was unable to do this and reported that it was unable to connect to the internet. But the connection was working.
Does anyone know what to do to make hp-setup working correctly? Or can anyone send me the driver-plugin or a link to its download source by e-mail to prepare me for installing the driver manually?

All help is welcome! Thank you.
