HP laser jet 4 Plus drivers missing

I had Ubuntu disk from another mag, I got issue 12 ubuntu user, and had to re-install ubuntu, however now have a problem I an adding a printer lpd://192.168.2.7/PS332968_p1 and HP list does not show HP LaserJet 4 Plus Foomatic/ljet4,but the older disc did, how do I get the drivers please.

PS I am a newbee to linux.

Can you ping the IP?

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l; | grep hplip

ping yes, not sure what you mean by

If you add a printer and select a network printer and just type the IP and click detect, is it detected? Remove the printer you added before first
