Scan failure on HP Photosmart C1580 All-in-one

Ubuntu 11.10 and HP Photosmart C1580: normal printing works well, but when I try to scan a document to the computer I get an ERROR message: "error during CMS conversion. Could not open ICM profile" using HPLIP, or nothing on the HP Scan menu/Start scan buttons.Can anyone solve the problem?

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | grep hplip

There is HPLIP 3.12.2 on the HPLIP site, the newer version may help
