my printer(HP laserjet p1005) doesn work,in ubuntu,it works well with< windos 7>

my printer was start working after automaticaly downloadind plugins.by<opensourse.org>.but this pathway or link dosnt opens. whatshould i do.my printer (HP LaserJet p1005) works very well in WINDOWS 7.i have download HPLIP many time but my printer couldent work.

HP-Laser jet-1005 is now provided standard with 11.10. Did you try installing it that way? The instructions to manually install HPLIP and various python libraries are probably a few years out of date. Try the easy way before you make it too hard:

Open printers, click the add button, Select the interface, the brand (HP) and the model (Laserjet 1005) and select the recommended driver.
