Ubuntu 11.10 printing problem

Asked by budi machribie

Dear Sir,

When I'm using Acer 3620, memory 1GB and HP printer Officejet 4355 to print a page using Libre Writer with inserted picture of Libre Base I get the following results:

1) Printing 1 page took 1 Hour
2) The quality of the printed picture is somewhat hazy (not sharp)

My question ... who is the culprit ..Ubuntu 11.10 or Libre Writer/Base or HP Printer ..?

I hope this problem could be resolved before the launching of Ubuntu version 12.04 since this will harm Ubuntu as well as Libre

 regards

Budi Machribie

Hi,

I was trying to install the driver for HP Laser jet printer P1007 on 64bit Ubuntu 11.10. Unable to print. Installation failing. Tried HPLIP tool box and Qt sane etc. Downloaded from sourecforge.net. Nothing working. Please help.

My problem got solved by doing the below. Printer HP P1007 working now:

hpmudext problem was there with Phython.

Removed the older version of Python 2.6 completely including Gwibber. That solved the hpmudext problem.
Then open terminal and typed in the below command:
"export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/lib64/"

Also created the file .bashrc ( it was not there)
enter the below lines

LD_LIBRARY_PATH = $LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/lib64/
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Followed the below lines.

Hi Pavel and Thomaz

1. Enter the folder /etc/ld.so.conf.d/
    $ cd /etc/ld.so.conf.d/

2. create a "conf" file by name "lib64.conf".
    $vim lib64.conf

3. Add the line /usr/lib64/ in the file lib64.conf

4. Run command "sudo ldconfig" to load the libraries.

5. Next run commad "hp-setup -g" and check whether you are able to setup your device. And post me the terminal output of this command.

Sorry for inconvenience.

Thanks & Regards,
Goutam Kodu

Subject: Probably a blown bulb.

Their making more a year than i make while doing nothing when i work my ass off for the change i do make. Helps me wildly well to not pay 5$ a gallon for fuel when my company uses huge amounts of the shit. I do landscaping/snow removal. Every single day it snows costs me 200$+ in fuel to run several trucks and tractors for 6+ hours, during summer it costs me about half of what winter costs a day running several trucks and twice as many lawn mowers/weed whackers/leaf blowers/etc.

Sadly for me i wasnt lucky enough to inherit anything valuable from deceased relatives, have in fact inherited debt more often than not. So i dont feel bad for those who have oil wells that arent rolling in the dough i fork over to them on the regular.

Kennard was injured at the beginning, Thurmond injured, wynn udfa and needed developing, I see him as a tollefson, nice sub on championship team but not key cog, McBride is a nice piece but not starting caliber, Ayers, I can't explain why he didn't play more but I assume coaches saw something...and even the players you mention help my argument.the giants lack safety, lb talent, and not a consistent dline
