how to receive fax by hplip

1. hplip is a printer driver
2. you don't use a printer driver to receive faxes
3. your printer has to have fax capabilities before you can receive faxes

what is the make and mode of the printer that you have? is faxing supported on it?

@Samuel: I did a search inside Launchpad, but you seem to the first to try using fax. As requested Marcus, what is the model of multifunction printer ?

by windows there is the option for receive fax

using 3.11 version it's posible to receive fax on pc ?

Latest (and untested by Ubuntu team) version of hplip is 3.11.7 .
If your printer model is new, perhaps it's not properly managed by 3.10.6-1
So you could download and install latest hplip driver.
I don't know which Linux software you must use to send fax. I presume fax will be seen as a particular printer, in which you have to add phone number.
