hplip package

hp printer install problems

trying for 5 days now to install hp deskjet all in one 3050 j610 series printer with no luck. Got everything else fixed i thought now it is saying missing driver missing filter/use/lib/cups/ filter/ footmatic rip-hplip how do i fix this please please help i am new to linux and loving it even now although little more than a bit irritated and disturbed it is beating me at the moment but i will never go back to windows even if i never get to print thank you mamahorose

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a;uname -a; dpkg -l | grep hplip

He said type this one line at a time and give us the output:

lsb_release -a

uname -a

dpkg -l | grep hplip
