Well the extra modules loaded when the machine reboots are:
intelfb
fbcon-cfb8
fbcon-cfb16
fbcon-cfb32
i810-tco
I tried modprobing them one at a time and waiting
intelfb & chums dont cause a problem
modprobe i810-tco
does cause a reboot after around a minute.
So I guess its the culprit?
