ubuntu 11 hybernating when plugged in

Asked by Kirk Schmidt

I have a Dell Mini with only Ubuntu 11 on it with all the current updates

but when I have the power plugged in or unplugged with a full battery it will say it is critically low and hibernate on me.

Is there a fix that can make this problem stop?

To give more detail to what is happening, it seems that when I charge my laptop and it reaches full charge it no longer shows that it power is plugged in and with a full chage (and plugged in) it will tell me it is criticaly low and hybernate on me. Some times I can unplug and start using the battery and not have it hybernate or times where I will start it back up and unplug the power and it will run off the battery for a few hours. It seems to not happen when it is charging but when it reaches a full battery and remains plugged in. I am running ubuntu 11 on a Dell mini Inspiron 910.

Can you help with this problem?
