Where to request a more recent version (9.45) for current repos?

Asked by A. Eibach

I must say that hdparm is one of the few tools where their old version has been kept way too long in current Ubuntu repos.

I reported an issue some time ago with wrong endian in hex dump, and Mark Lord himself told me to please use 9.45, which, BY THAT TIME, was already out of "staging" status.
But as nobody has ever thought of adding the 9.45 version to current repos, I am certain that when we're at code name Y..., we will still have to deal with 9.43.

So where can I request an update, to propel this forward?

Please create a bug report with a request to update to the new version.
As far as I can see, also Debian has only the 9.43 version. So it might be reasonable to also create a bug report in the Debian system.

Correct. An update is overdue there, too.
