How to fix this bug

Hello,

I have this bug in my laptop: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hal/+bug/206921

and this is the patch: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13113769/97_fix_macbook_brightness.patch

Could somebody tell me how can I fix it?
