my msi vr220 cannot detect my built in web camera

My msi vr220 laptop is just 2 months old. Suddenly the built in webcam cannot be detected. Would appreciate your help.

If you run:

lsusb

(pronounced ell-ess-you-ess-bee)

will display an 8 character hex code for the webcam, you can use that to start websearching.
