My RADEON9200 is not recognized

Asked by Cedric

Hi,
With the 6.06, there was no problème
i install the 6.10 (not upgrade) and my graphic card isn't detected anymore.

Here is what is in my xorg.conf:
Section "Device"
 Identifier "Carte vidéo générique"
 Driver "vesa"
 BusID "PCI:3:0:0"
EndSection

And this is what lspci gives:
03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV280 [Radeon 9200] (rev 01)
03:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV280 [Radeon 9200] (Secondary) (rev 01)

Ubuntu is listing :
nForce2 AGP (different version?)
nForce2 AGP
   RV280 [Radeon 9200] (secondary)
   RV280 [Radeon 9200]

What do you mean by Ubuntu is listing!?
Perhaps you have choosen VESA during install?
Anyhow try changing the "vesa" in your xorg.conf file with "ati" and tell us if it works.
