Detection of Promise Fastrak 378 RAID 0

Asked by CookieOfFortune

My motherboard has onboard Promise Fastrak 378 RAID 0 setup. It shows up as two separate hardrives in the partition manager. I'm not sure what to do here, how do I get Linux to recognized the partition?

On 6.10 I was able to mount and access my Promise Fastrak 378 Raid 0 with the use of device-mapper and
dmraid. I have not yet tried in 7.04.

There is a new dmraid Ubuntu version in: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dmraid/+bug/112402 (it is compiled for i386).
There is also a nice discussion here to make dmraid work with udev: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dmraid/+bug/106177

Can you help with this problem?
