SONY CRX140E, reads ok, no blank CD indicator

Asked by Gary Stutts

I am new to Linux. My SONY CD-RW CRX140E was working with XP. With Ubunto it reads ok but when I try to write it thinks that the disk isn't blank. I just get the message to please insert a blank disk. I have tried different brands of CD's. Do I need to get a different drive or is there some option that isn't set. If anyone has any ideas then please feel free to email me.
