Destop effects could not be enable!

i use acer aspire 4715z laptop...
my specs are..
CPU :Intel Pentium dual core T2370
Ram :512mb ddr2
video :Intel graphic X1300

do a 'glxinfo' and see if you get something like this at the top:
$glxinfo
name of display: :0.0
display: :0 screen: 0
direct rendering: Yes

if direct rendering is no, or is default SGI, then you need to fixed accelerated graphics in you xorg.conf. ie... get the right driver, etc...

Look up your xorg.conf and locate the "Driver" used for you Video vard Device, make sure that driver can support accelerated graphics.
