segui le istruzioni e confronta subito il risultato del comando "lsusb" digitato sulla tua macchina, soprattuttto per quanto riguarda i numeri identificativi, se hai esattamente lo stesso dispositivo mi sa' che non funziona con Ubuntu al momento.

Puoi leggere tutto quanto è già stato provato senza successo nel link riportato.
