graphic card

i have already a graphic card installed in my computer but the resolution after Ubuntu installed is low and I can`t change because there is no option and the system don`t recognize my monitor.

What i need to do to fix these problems?

which video card/graphics card are you using, and whiich distribution are you running?

Hello fernando..

you can manually reconfigure your X server with the command: (for setting the resolution of the monitor and to adjust various parameters of the video card)

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

And if you do not want to answer all the questions but only those which are rated with high priority:

dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
