Sound not working on Gigabyte m/b.

Hi,
Ive just installed Breezy on updated hardware, and I get no sound, the motherboard is a GigaByte i-DNA series GA-8I945P-G, and the on board audio is a ALC882 CODEC..
Any help to get sound going would be really appreciated, I really dont want to go back to gatesville!

Hello,

Did you install ALSA (the Advanced Linux Sound system) or OSS (deprecated)? This could be the problem.
