Gwibber stopped fetching from twitter

Asked by Jon Lowag

Gwibber worked fine for me until about 24 hours ago. Then it stopped fetching (or displaying) tweets from twitter. Manual refresh does not help either. It still showed the tweets it had fetched until then. It still fetches updates from facebook, so this is just twitter related.
I tried to remove my twitter account from gwibber and added it again but it still doesn’t show tweets. When I now click on the twitter icon in gwibber there are no messages.
It is still possible to send tweets and gwibber shows the tweets I send in the twitter pane.
My main problem here is that I don’t have a clue where to start looking for the problem. I don’t know where a log file is or where gwibber stores it’s data. There seems to be no relevant output when starting gwibber from the shell. I would like to get some hints on where to start looking.

I am using gwibber 2.32.2-0ubuntu2 on maverick.

things stop working because the "website" made changes to the system.
there's an update to qwibber in the update manager.
installing the updates should solve your problem.

Thanks for your quick reply. I checked the update manager but could not find an updated gwibber package. This site http://packages.ubuntu.com/maverick-updates/gwibber indicates that my version (2.32.2-0ubuntu2) is the most recent available. Do you refer to another version?

I dug a bit deeper and found an error message in the log file. This error indicates that gwibber fails processing a specific message. So I unfollowed the corresponding twitter account and refreshed gwibber. That got me all the missing updates.

Im going file a bug report. There is clearly a problem with a specific tweet or twitter account and I can reproduce the problem.

Can you help with this problem?
