Add a local network Twitter-like service

Asked by Steven

Hi,

We have a Twitter-like service in our company on the local network, using the Twitter protocols.

Is there any way I could add that service to Gwibber and if so, how do I proceed ?

Thanks,
Steven

Strange. Because I'm a patient person, the janitor simply erases my question even if there has been no answer?

Please re-open and provide an answer.

Thanks,
Steven

Steven is this a public service or private? maybe you should include more details and probably fill a report about it

Hi Kamus,

Thanks for the reply.

It's a private service, on the local network of my company. But the protocol is the same as Twitter's.

I'd like to add that service to Gwibber's protocol list, when I go to "Edit > Accounts > Add new account for". If I'm not mistaken, that list is a fixed one and I don't know how to add an item to it. Is there a config file for it somewhere or is it hardcoded in the app?

If you need more information, please point out which and how I can provide it to you.

Thanks,
Steven

I think you don't have any problems to do it because gwibber is under GPL V2 licence. any way, you should contact to Ken Vandine or Ryan Paul for technical/coding specifications.
