Gwibber will not work with twitter

Asked by Marina Gibson

For some reason Gwibber doesn't seem to be working for Twitter. I don't use any of the other programs it allows you to sign in with, so I am not sure if my Gwibber isn't working at all or what - but it won't send or receive messages for Twitter, and I have checked and rechecked my login information to make sure it is correct.

I faced the very same trouble. In fact, it wasn't GWibbler fault. Twitter introduces very strong restrictions to avoid DOS attacks. What I had to do was:
1) Re-check and re-create my password: Twitter doesn't allow space or non-latin characters in password (BUMP!). Which is more, Twitter doesn't warn about it when you create your password, only when you try to change it.
2) Sign off from Twitter. (!)
3) Wait for at least 1 hour.
4) Try twitting from GWibbler.
