Problem setting up Flickr

Asked by Hans-Henrik Røhling

When creating a Flickr account i can enter my user name, but there is no field for my password and thus Gwibber doesn't log me in to Flickr.
I have no problem with my Twitter and Facebook accounts in Gwibber.

Hans-Henrik,

Just an FYI, but Gwibber (on Lucid) doesn't display a password field for Flickr on my system either! I don't use or have a Flickr account - but I'm seeing your issue for sure.

Good luck,
George

Hi :)

Please can you first try working through the Medibuntu worksheet
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu
this should get most of the multimedia sorted out on your machine

Please let us know how this goes, especially if the problem is still there obviously!
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

I too cannot enter a password on gwibber for flickr.

I have no other problems with any multimedia on Lucid so I'm not sure why working through the Medibuntu worksheet will be of use?

Hi :)

It might not make any difference but the medibuntu web-site was down for several days a few days ago & re-working through it causes no harm. It might also be worth checking the resolution is high enough?

Tom :)

Hi :)

Can someone post a bug-report about this? I'm not exactly sure which package to mark it against so hopefully bug-triage team will help with that!

Also it is worth re-posting this as a new question now. Launchpad dos not have a good way of dealing with question more than a couple of days old
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gwibber/+addquestion

Since we haven't had much response from anyone else i think it might be worth also trying a couple of other forums at the same time
http://www.linuxquestions.org
http://www.ubuntuforums.com

Please paste a link to the answer back in here when you get a good answer! Also please link this question to the new bug-report :)
Thanks & regards from
Tom :)

Can confirm this as well. Running Lucid 32 bit on Asus EEE 1002HA.
Let me know if anything else is needed.

Please can you post a bug report about this?
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gwibber/+filebug

Exactly the same as posting a question. In the larger comment section please then post this link back into this question
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gwibber/+question/108511
so that people reading the bug-report can surf into this thread?

Also please could you then post the link to the bug-report in here so that we could surf into the bug-report and let them know that quite a few people are suffering from this?
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
