How did gvfs get the iphone camera to work

Asked by Michaël Vanderheeren

I'm asking myself this question lately as i'm trying to compile libiphone and ifuse. But if you guys we're able to get the camera work, which has the DCIM folder in the same folder as the music, then why can't we get the rest to work?

as far as I know, the iphone firmware treats the pictures folder like a regular usb drive but the rest of the data on the iphone is encrypted over USB. you would need to jailbreak your phone to access the music on it in linux.

Can you help with this problem?
