Virtual Box Shared Filesystem support

Asked by dupingping

I shared a folder for guest OS, Ubuntu precise and trusty from Host OS, Ubuntu on VirtualBox 5.0.8.
After boot the guest OS, The shared folder is automatically mounted on /media folder with sf_ name prefix.
But I could not find them on nautilus.
If you can let me know how to show the shared folders on left side panel of nautilus, please help me.
I tried to modify the source of glib's gvfs_mount parts to show them on nautilus.
But I just wonder about virtual box automount daemon always mount the shared folders as /media/sf_***.
Best Regards.

If you run:

mount

You can see the mounted file systems. You can then navigate to what you desire then add it to your favourites/bookmarks.

It will then appear in the left panel in Nautilus
