Adding custom directory icons

Asked by Matt Sturgeon

Hi,

I am interested in how one manipulates gvfs to add extra icons assigned to directories in the home folder (like the ~/Documents or ~/Music directories in Ubuntu).

So what config file would I edit to, say, assign icon 'foo' to directory '~/Bar'?

How would I make this a system default?

How could I add this to a bazaar branch of gvfs if I decided to?

thanks

Or, even better lol;

Who would be able to link ~/Audiobooks with a folder-audiobooks icon, and ~/Podcasts with folder-podcast?
(The new default directories that are added by banshee)

Once it is supported in gvfs, then icon theme developers will add support for these directories.

They should also be listed in the Bookmarks menu by default, and written by /etc/skell (of however the Documents directory, etc, are written), so that it is standard all across Ubuntu, instead of relying on banshee to merge their directory standard into Ubuntu on there own.

So, whos up for this?

Can you help with this problem?
