Does gufw leave iptables rules behind?

Asked by aditya

I am using gufw for seting up a firewall on my Ubuntu desktop.

But I have found that there are unused iptables rules on my computer. I have never used iptables. So the only probable answer is that gufw creates iptables rules(via ufw) but does not delete them when user deletes then in Gufw.

So in practice, it should be that when rules are deleted from gufw, corresponding iptable rules should also be deleted, but it is not bieng done currently.

Can someone verify this?
