I want C with a tail not C with accent.

I am a new adopter of Linux from MS Windows. In MS, I would set my keyboard as US-INTL, then when I would do 'single-quote' then 'c', I would get the c with a tail (french) but when I use the settings here, everything works except for the 'c' which gives me 'c' with an accent. How can I get the TAIL? Please...
