Guake outdated in official repository

Is it possible to keep Guake reasonably up to date in the official Ubuntu repositories. Current version is 3.0.5 which is antecedent Ubuntu Bionic, current version is 3.3.2 and the last Cosmic package is 3.3.0

I suggest you report a bug. If the bug and security fixes are significant then the package will be updated sooner rather than later. Ubuntu is not a rolling release distribution and packages can be left in favour of stability. This is especially true in the LTS releases.
