Is guake still maintained?

Asked by Dražen Lučanin

I see that the last commit was back in 2010 and some issues haven't been fixed in a long while. For example there is no more indiciator icon.

OK, thanks. It would be cool if newer package versions were then released for the Ubuntu software repository too. I see on GitHub that you developed version >0.5 already.

I only have some experience pushing packages into PPAs and that is done by building the new version of the package locally [1] and uploading it [2]. Since Guake is already in the repository it might be a different process, I'm not sure. Any way, you should probably consult someone on IRC to help you out [3] and maybe ask whoever was the old Ubuntu package maintainer to give you some instructions. What might be helpful to you is that you can set Launchpad to just mirror the changes on GitHub and there are also recipes [4], which I think can be used to automate package building.

Good luck!
