Why is this removed?

Asked by Jan Schnackenberg

This little tool, as far as I know, didn't cause problems and works flawlessly for several years now. I couldn't believe that it's actually missing from karmic.

Of course I _can_ compile this myself, but I just don't get why I'm forced to do this when there are apparently no bug-reports for this program indicating major problems that would require work from upstream.

It's correct that there haven't been any updates to gtk-imonc since January 2005, but that's just because it "just works" and does what's needed. The removal of this package seems therefore completely unnecessary.

By the way, upstream would be: http://blog.jwchat.org/gtkimonc/

Wonderful.

Having to install (at least) 85MB worth of devel packages just to compile and install this now.
