gtk-gnutella does not work in 9.04

how do i solve this problem. Downloaded 0.96.6-1_i386.deb and tried to install but it can't.
Got this message instead -

Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libgnutls26 (>= 2.5.9-0)

That's not the version from jaunty. Install the version from Jaunty and you should be fine:
0.96.5-1build1
sudo apt-get install gtk-gnutella

But when i install and run 0.96.5-1build1 it says ancient version detected and asking to update.

try
sudo apt-get install libgnutls26
and then running the package again

The 0.96.5 version was released April 2008, so is why you are getting a warning about it's age. This warning can be ignored if you wished.

The latest version is 0.96.6 was released earlier this month. A source for a precompiled deb for jaunty can be found at
