Asked by JKhoo

On the left hand pane it shows 0/3 connections but the main window shows i'm connected. Top right corner says i'm behind a firewall both TCP-wise and UDP-wise
Used to be able to have 3/3 connections until I reformat the HDD and reinstall the OS.
Any help will be much appreciated.

JK

Edit by Christian Biere:

1. The left-hand pane is correct. 0/3 means you're not connected to any node. What you see in the "main window" is a "Pseudo UDP node" as it says. That's yourself. It's unfortunate that it says "connected" but it's not any Gnutella connection.

2. If not connected to any peers and there are no uploads/downloads either, gtk-gnutella will eventually assume it's "firewalled" because it cannot tell the difference or know why there are no connections.

3. If you clear your HDD, you'll lose your ~/.gtk-gnutella directory and thus lose the known cached peer addresses. That means it'll have to bootstrap again. Your version (0.96.4) is sufficiently old, that it won't bootstrap automatically anymore.
