Evince is lacking the ability to add annotations...: any chance of backporting correction of bug #984878?

Bug #984878 has been corrected upstream (Gnome) but Debian has not caught it yet. Meanwhile, Evince is lacking the ability to add annotations...

Would it be possible that Ubuntu mantainers of gtk3.0 backported this fix and released an update? It is 3 weeks now since the bug has been reported, and 2 weeks since the bug has been fixed.

I think the main rationale is that Evince is very important to the user experience of Ubuntu.

Zatta, please look at the status of the bug report, it says *Precise in Progress*.
There is currently UDS [ http://uds.ubuntu.com/ ] so it may be a little delay until fix released.
