is it possible to upgrade to gtk+ 2.24 in Lucid?

I wouldn't want to compile from source. Is there a .deb that is available to do an upgrade?

GTK+ is a huge part of your OS so I don't recommend you go poking around with it, you may get yourself in a real mess needing you to boot to liveCD, chroot and basically dig yourself out
