saving imported images

Asked by Brian O'Keefe

I had gThumb working fine but now when I create a new catalog upon importing images from my camera, the catalog is created on the camera flash card. How do I make gThumb create catalogs and libraries on my hard drive? How do i save the images as a batch to my hard drive? Why doesn't gThumb import the images into my Pictures folder on my hard drive? Where are the settings to change where I want the images imported?
thanks!

As gThumb lacks this feature (it's more an enhanced picture viewer), Ubuntu delivers the "F-Spot Photo Manager" which allows you to import the images from your camera to the harddrive.

Can you help with this problem?
